Call from Google Talk with Tringme VOIP
Is Web based or Soft phone based calls stopping you from using VOIP? are you going mad at downloading large SIP softphones to make free voip or cheap calls? The time has come, now you can make calls via your Google Talk. There is no need to download any additional softphones or add-ons to make calls. TringMe now allows making calls from Gtalk. Gtalk doesn't have native support for making phone (PSTN/Mobile) calls. This is yet another feature which underlines TringMe's core philosophy of not re

LA VoIP Users to Help Pay For More Police
Chalk this one up to another reason why more people should pay attention to what they agree to (and what their local politicians are telling them to do). According to DSL Reports, the city of LA has approved a new tax cut, that is really a tax hike. In response to a need to maintain their current police forces, the city has taken a telephone user tax and reduced it from 10% to 9%, however it has broadened the scope of the tax to include Internet phone services. Doh! You have to hand it to the

Brits take phone calls while having sex?
Wait a minute! We do support mobilizing of virtually everything and are all happy when we see mobile phones entering regular people's lives. But stopping a sex over a phone call? Is that call really *that* important and/or urgent? C'mon guys and you girls too… According to recent study from Mobyko.com, one in ten Brits openly admits to having answered their mobile phone during sex and cutting the "act" short. I'm stunned. I wonder how would other nations "rank" in this research… In addition

Vonage and VoIP
I think I've had Vonage for almost 9 months now.  Despite the fact that I couldn't get a Puerto Rico area code (we only have two: 787 or 939) I really loved having VoIP.  It was cheap and when I was in the Dominican Republic, I could call home and talk for hours without worrying about long distance charges.  Of course, since my number had a Florida area code, people without long distance service couldn't call me and if they did they would get charged for it.  Then, the D-Link router they gave m

Voip without the echo?
I was wondering, is there anyway to use voip without inducing echo? I'm at the moment using a 360 microphone attached to a wired controller, at least until i can get a better headset. If i run the sound through my speakers, my mike picks it up, and creates echo, but if i run the sound through my headset, i can barely hear. Any suggestions?
